PEARL SPOT FISH FRED IN GREEN
MASALA
Ingredients:
2 Pearl Spot Fish (Kalundar;- Goan Name)
Salt to taste
Oil
For Masala
Hand full of
Coriander Leaves
8 Mint Leaves
1 Lime
5 Green Chilies
6 Peppercorns
5 Cloves
Small piece of Cinnamon
Stick
½ Chopped Onion
½ teaspoon Fennel
Seeds
½ teaspoon Cumin
Seeds
Small piece Ginger
3 cloves of Garlic
½ teaspoon Fenugreek
Seeds
½ teaspoon Mustard
Seeds
Method:

Clean and slit the pearl fish.

Marinate the fish with salt and lime juice.

For Masala grind the above ingredients to a
thick paste by using little water.

Apply the masala paste to the fish and marinate for half hour.

Fry the fish on low flame. Serve with sliced onion rings and a slice of lime.
